Academy Instructor
Ms. Penner is a Teaching Artist at the Denver Center Theatre Academy, an Adjunct Professor of Theatre at University of Denver, and an actor, director and producer. She has taught and directed students of various ages including those at the prestigious National Theatre Conservatory, Denver School of the Arts, Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy, and Place Bridge Academy. For the past six summers she has co-managed the Academy’s High School Intensive and directed teen performers in Arabian Nights, Julius Caesar, Alice in Wonderland, Our Town and an original, student- written piece. Acting work includes productions with Penner-Watrous Productions, the Arvada Center and Modern Muse, commercials, and many regional credits in New York City and New England. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from Amherst College.
