Academy Instructor
Mr. Saphier is currently a Teaching Artist for the Denver Center Theatre Academy. Before moving to Denver, he had worked in education departments at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Los Angeles, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Famous Door Theatre Company in Chicago, and The Coterie Theatre in Kansas City. Mr. Saphier received his BA at The Colorado College and his MFA in Theatre for Youth at Arizona State University. He has acted or directed in many productions and was last seen on the stage as Sir Andrew Aguecheek in
Twelfth Night
for the Denver Victorian Playhouse. He wrote
The Little Things
, which was selected for the Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region in 2004. He also directed
Charlotte’s Web
for the Teen Performance Program this summer.
