Gregg VigilAcademy Instructor

Mr. Vigil is one of the founders of PHAMALy (the Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artist League, Inc.) and directed its first production of Guys and Dolls in 1990. His other directing and producing credits include Monster Soup, Who’s on First; A Nightmare Comedy, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Your Hit Parade Revisited and The Denver Variety Show. He has been seen in various roles with PHAMALy including the King in Once Upon A Mattress. Gregg holds a BA in theatre from Metropolitan State College of Denver and received training from the National Theatre Workshop for the Handicapped. A Theatre Knight Production is the company in which he shares with Mathew Kepler and Jose Schirrmeister. Mr. Vigil currently serves on several committees regarding theatre exposure for new patrons and accessibility issues and also teaches acting for after-school programs in the Denver metro area and at the Denver Center Theatre Academy’s summer intensive. In 2005, he received his dance teacher certification from DanceAbility, an improvisational dance movement art form for people of mixed-abilities.
