Denver Center Theatre Academy

Ms. Casperson studied commedia with Carlo Clemmenti, mask performance with Leonard Pitt, and classical clowning with Ronlan Foreman and Huvey Burgess. Her mask work is based on the teachings of Jacque Le Coq. Kay formed the red-nose company, The Foolery, and roamed the country performing on conventional stages, in symphony halls, on university campuses, in museums, school gyms, festivals, and streets. The large spectacle masks she creates have enlivened many events. Kay has been Arts Department Chair and Drama Department Head at St. Anne’s Episcopal School for more than two decades. She has been a company member at the Trident Theatre, Third Eye Theatre, Theatre Works, Lida Project, Acoma Center, Arvada Center, and The Avenue Theater. Kay is pleased to be back at the Center where she was part of the acting company for seasons three, four and five.
