Denver Center Theatre Company
Status: Open
Description:
Ideal for a student desiring to complement his/her educational background with practical experience while working toward a career as a professional properties manager. The intern works with resident and guest professional staff members during the season. Almost every skill and discipline that is found in the theatre can be used to advantage in the prop shop. Because of the intimate nature of our theatres, all props must be exquisitely crafted and finished. The intern will use techniques in welding, vacuforming plastics, painting, carving, furniture construction and upholstery, and other craft skills. Pending qualifications, limited stipends or housing may be available.
General requirements:
The Denver Center Theatre Company season runs from August/September through May. Internships in technical and production departments, determined by current programming and applicant qualifications, are arranged for full-season, half-season or per-production basis. These internships involve long hours, hard work and hands-on experience. We seek dedicated applicants who will strive to participate in the most professional and positive manner possible.
Apply by e-mail:
