Description:
Ideal for a student desiring to complement his/her educational background with practical experience while working toward a career as a professional scenic designer. The intern works with resident and guest professional staff members during the season. This internship is of interest to the scene design student wishing to improve graphic skills in architectural drafting, model building and painting while gaining experience working with both resident and guest designers from around the world. Student responsibilities will include CAD drafting, model building, design and technical research in scenic, prop and scene painting areas. Pending qualifications, limited stipends or housing may be available.
General requirements:
The Denver Center Theatre Company season runs from August/September through May. Internships in technical and production departments, determined by current programming and applicant qualifications, are arranged for full-season, half-season or per-production basis. These internships involve long hours, hard work and hands-on experience. We seek dedicated applicants who will strive to participate in the most professional and positive manner possible.
