Description:
Ideal for a student desiring to complement his/her educational background with practical experience while working toward a career as a professional stage manager The intern works with resident and guest professional staff members during the season. Production interns work closely with professional stage managers organizing daily schedules, conducting rehearsals, attending design and production meetings and focusing on the detail work surrounding productions. In addition to supporting the rehearsal process, the intern will perform a backstage assignment as a member of the running crew once the show moves into the theatre. This internship requires a full-time commitment by the applicant. Pending qualifications, limited stipends or housing may be available.
General requirements:
The Denver Center Theatre Company season runs from August/September through May. Internships in technical and production departments, determined by current programming and applicant qualifications, are arranged for full-season, half-season or per-production basis. These internships involve long hours, hard work and hands-on experience. We seek dedicated applicants who will strive to participate in the most professional and positive manner possible.
