The Denver Center Theatre Company, a division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, is accepting applications for the above internship.
General information regarding the internship:
- Available only to a student whose career goal is Technical Direction.
- The opportunity for the intern to work in a master/apprentice relationship with the DCTC Technical Director, Shop Foreman, and the professional Scene Shop staff.
- The intern will learn a variety of disciplines ranging from fiscal management to creative invention of scenic solutions.
- The DCTC will be producing 10 plays during the 9 month season.
Requirements: Must have a strong background in all areas of scenic construction. A technical theatre or related degree is preferred.
The internship dates are August 2010 through April 2011, reports to the Technical Director.
