Denver Center to put 30 shows on sale August 2

Indecent, A Doll’s House repertory, Mean Girls, Choir Boy, The Band’s Visit and
back by popular demand The Book of Mormon. Separate on-sale dates for Hamilton and Disney’s The Lion King will be announced at a later time.
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets for 30 Broadway, Theatre Company, Cabaret, Off-Center and Theatre for Young Audiences shows will go on sale to the general public Friday, August 2. The lineup includes new regional productions of the Tony-nominated plays Indecent and Choir Boy; the landmark repertory production of A Doll’s House and A Doll’s House, Part 2; the hilarious hit musical Mean Girls; the highly anticipated return of The Book of Mormon; as well as 2018 Tony and Grammy award-winning Best Musical, The Band’s Visit.
Please note that Hamilton and Disney’s The Lion King are not included in the August 2 on-sale. A separate on-sale for each of these productions will be announced at a later time.

As with all productions produced and/or presented by the DCPA, ticket buyers who purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third party run the risk of overpaying or purchasing illegitimate tickets. Patrons should be aware that the DCPA is unable to reprint or replace lost or stolen tickets and is unable to contact patrons with information regarding time changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance. Patrons found in violation of the DCPA Ticket Purchase and Sale Terms and Policies may have all of their tickets cancelled.
Subscriptions and Memberships
Subscription packages are available now. Subscribers enjoy benefits including but not limited to: the best seats at the best price, the option to auto-renew, flexible and free ticket exchange, priority access, discounted tickets, restaurant and parking perks, savings on DCPA Education classes and convenient payment plans.
Premium subscriptions are also available and include premium seating, fine dining, behind-the-scenes discussions and more all packaged into one complete evening.
Patrons between the ages of 18-30 are invited to join the Radvantage membership program, which grants access to specially-priced tickets to participating Broadway, Theatre Company, Off-Center and Cabaret shows. Memberships are $20. For more information, please visit denvercenter.org/Radvantage.

Hamilton returns to The Buell Theatre from August 12 through October 4, 2020, as an added attraction to the 2019-20 Broadway Season. Patrons with a 2019-20 DCPA Subscription Package will have priority access to purchase tickets prior to the public on-sale. All additional details will be announced at a later date. The 2020 Hamilton return engagement is not included on any DCPA subscription package.

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

In 1828, Ann Harvey saved 160 Irish people from a wreck off of Newfoundland’s Shipwreck Coast. Almost 200 years later, the Harvey family homestead has become the Shipwreck Inn, where present-day proprietress Ann Harvey attempts to leave her own mark (and get some new customers) with a tourist blog. Her nephew Joe-L, on the other hand, would do anything to leave his hometown. Flow through time as unexpected guests and echoes of the past leave their indelible mark on the inhabitants of a remote and rocky shore. This Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Festival finalist is a poetic and bright new drama where every moment holds the opportunity to change everything.
