Craft of Acting: Rising to the Need of Your Character

Many roles and scripts will ask of you to rise to an extremely elevated emotional state as an actor: rage, pain, sadness, fear, shock and more. It’s a difficult task to do convincingly every time you perform, but with the right tools offered in this workshop, you can harness your impulse control. You’ll walk away with tools to help you channel your emotions authentically through imagination-based and technical approaches. You will utilize one Shakespeare monologue as your source material for this class.
