Spontaneity takes center stage in this laugh-out-loud celebration of creativity and quick thinking! In this 6-week class, high school students jump into the world of improvisational theater, building confidence, comedic timing, and storytelling skills. Through energetic games and playful exercises, they’ll develop quick thinking, character creation, emotional expression, collaboration, and the ability to stay present and adapt on the fly. It’s all about trusting instincts, taking bold risks, and supporting one another with joy and generosity. To wrap up the experience, family and friends are invited to a final showcase during the last class. These fearless teens will perform a mix of short form and long form improv, filled with fast-paced games, hilarious characters, and spontaneous stories sparked by audience suggestions. Come laugh, cheer, and celebrate the magic of improv—because when it’s unscripted, anything can happen!

Step into the intimate, music-driven world of Once, where storytelling lives in every note and movement. This four-day choreography intensive explores the show’s folk-inspired physicality, ensemble connection, and emotionally grounded style, where dance grows organically from live music and relationships. Through ensemble focused movement, musician-as-actor work, and expressive phrasing, students build musical theatre techniques while discovering how choreography reveals character and story. Each session emphasizes listening, musicality, and authenticity—so performers move with intention, connection, and meaning.

Callback Lab is a high-energy, hands-on workshop where high school performers experience a real professional callback. Bring your own audition material and work side-by-side with Grady Soapes, Casting Director for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, to refine cuts, strengthen performance choices, and sharpen your storytelling. Students receive direct, actionable feedback, practice callback-style coaching, build strong, specific characters, and gain insider insight into what casting teams truly want.

In this high energy musical theatre class, high school performers train in bold, character driven storytelling through contemporary musicals such as Six, Ride the Cyclone, Big Fish, and Bright Star. These shows demand more than strong vocals—actors must reveal character, motivation, and personal stakes through song. Through focused acting techniques and vocal work, students learn to build fully realized characters, clarify objectives, and make specific, grounded choices. Ensemble based training emphasizes emotional truth, clear storytelling, and bold choices. The class culminates in a cabaret style performance for family and friends, where each student presents a featured song that captures their character’s journey and delivers a standout, story driven performance. In this class, students learn how to create realistic-looking bruises and cuts using safe, theatrical makeup techniques. Through guided demonstrations and practice, students explore how color, texture, and layering can transform the face and skin for stage, film, or Halloween fun. By the end of the workshop, students will be prepared to show off their ghoulish creations and confidently apply beginner-level SFX makeup for a night of spooky celebration.
