In this joyful journey of imagination and creative play, young artists will explore stories that shine a spotlight on self-esteem, friendship, and the power of working together. Through theatrical adventures, inspired by award-winning books such as Rocket Says Speak Up, Knight Owl, Pirate Stew, Lift, and The Night Gardener, students will discover what it means to belong, to be kind, and to be proud of who they are. With every exercise, movement, and moment of make-believe, they’ll build confidence, make new friends, and learn how to lift each other up – because being YOU is the most magical story of all!

Dog Man’s sidekick is back – and he’s bringing the Baby Frog Squad with him! Join Cat Kid and his crew of 21 wildly creative baby frogs as they dive headfirst into the hilarious, high-energy world of comic making! Inspired by Dav Pilkey’s beloved Cat Kid Comic Club series, this class invites young performers to unleash their imaginations and tackle the joyful chaos of creating something new. Using the actor’s toolbox – body, voice, and imagination – students will collaborate to build an original play filled with zany characters, epic storytelling, and laugh-out-loud moments. Will Cat Kid and the Baby Frog Squad finish their comics in time? Only teamwork, big ideas, and a whole lot of giggles will tell! Get ready to laugh, create, and transform – because in this club, everyone’s a comic genius in the making!

Turn the past into a performance – and create an original musical that makes history sing! This spring, young artists will dive into the drama, rhythm, and revolutionary spirit of Broadway’s most iconic history inspired musicals. From the pulse-pounding rhymes of Hamilton to the fierce voices of SIX the heartfelt harmonies of The Color Purple, the resilience of Come from Away, and the epic struggles of Les Misérables, students will explore how historic events and characters become unforgettable theatre. Using these musicals as inspiration, students will work together to create an original musical inspired by history – complete with characters, choreography, and original lyrics. Will they rap like revolutionaries? Sing like survivors? Dance like dreamers? YES! History isn’t just something you learn – it’s something you perform. And this spring, it’s got rhythm, rhyme, and a whole lot of heart.

Inspired by the magical mischief of Broadway’s most spellbinding shows – Matilda, Cinderella, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Big Fish, Mary Poppins, and more – students will explore how courage, curiosity, and a touch of theatrical magic can transform the world around them. Using these musicals as inspiration, students will work together to create an original musical – filled with enchanting characters, dazzling dance numbers, and lyrics that sparkle with wonder. Will they cast spells with their voices? Dance through enchanted lands? Fly with umbrellas and freeze time? Yes! This spring, the stage becomes a playground for imagination, mischief, and musical magic!

Each session is a playground of exploration where performers build original characters, invent hilarious scenes, and learn to think on their feet. Through games, ensemble exercises, and improv challenges, students will sharpen essential skills – listening and responding, character creation, collaborative scene work and more!
