First graders, step into the spotlight and let your star power shine! This exciting week-long camp introduces first graders to the magic of Broadway’s Golden Age – where big stories, catchy songs, and dazzling dance moves rule the stage. Each day, students will act, sing, and dance through playful activities and creative exercises focused on Broadway. From learning classic show tunes to creating their own mini-scenes, young performers will build confidence, teamwork, and a love for performing. The week wraps up with a joyful Friday sharing, where families and friends are invited to cheer on our rising stars.

Step into a world where “once upon a time” becomes “right now!” In this enchanting week-long camp, young performers will leap into beloved fairy tales and bring them to life through improvisation, imaginative play, music, and movement. Each day is packed with creative adventures where students will build characters, invent twists on classic stories, and explore the magic of theatre-making. By the end of the week, they’ll share their fairy tale creations in a joyful showcase that celebrates creativity, confidence, and pure theatrical fun!

Sing loud and proud at the DCPA! Let your voice soar and your imagination shine! In this dynamic two-week camp, performers team up to create and perform their own original 10-minute musical. From story development to lyric creation to dance moves and design, young performers dive into every part of the creative process. Each grade level builds performance skills and ensemble storytelling in a musical of their very own. The session wraps up with a joyful mainstage performance where students share their original musical with family and friends – an unforgettable celebration of creativity, teamwork, and theatrical magic!

Song, dance and characters, oh my! Ensemble and creativity sets the stage for the fun and camaraderie of an actor’s life. Discover how stories are told on stage, on screen, and in song. This delightful week of discovery is a terrific way to explore how creativity and collaboration are honed within the theatre arts. While this class does not include a final sharing, the focus is on process over performance – through theatre exercises, ensemble-building, and creative exploration, young actors sharpen theatre skills and thrive as a team.
