Musical Madness: 5-year-olds perform for public on Friday

5-year-old students from the Denver Center Theatre Academy paid a musical visit to employees today to call attention to their public performance of their original, world premiere musical Lemonade! tomorrow (Friday, July 25) on no less than the prestigious Stage Theatre. And … they brought lemonade to sweeten the deal. (There may be a future for them in the marketing department.)

The program is called Musical Madness, and performances by grades K through 5 will run in 10-minute increments from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The performances are free and open to the public.

At 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, Academy high-school students will perform Eurydice in the Conservatory Theatre. That, too, is free and open the public. But for Eurydice, you are asked to email your intent to attend ny emailing academy@dcpa.org.

Known as one of the best acting schools in town, the Denver Center Theatre Academy is open to kids ages 3 to 18. Acting lessons range from beginner to advanced and give students a wide range of skills — from props and painting to dance and drama. There’s something for everyone. For information, click here.
