Cast and crew gathered last week to begin rehearsals for the DCPA Theatre Company’s 26th seasonal staging of A Christmas Carol with Melissa Rain Anderson directing for the third straight year and actor Sam Gregory returning to his role as Ebenezer Scrooge. The company’s popular seasonal tradition this year will be the last before the production goes on hiatus for a full renovation of The Stage Theatre. And that makes this year’s production all the more special to Anderson.
“It’s so important for me to come back to this particular theatre family every year,” she said. “It feels like a family coming together every year and joining together again to tell this important tale.”
