Today, we debut a fun daily video series leading up to Saturday’s big “Saturday Night Alive” gala, which is expected to raise up to $1 million for the DCPA’s Education programs. Last year, the Education Division engaged more than 68,000 students of all ages. In this series, we call your attention to the committee chairs who make the gala happen. First up: Roger Hutson, whose love of the arts began in school when performed in The Addams Family … as Lurch … as a robot.

Hutson is president and CEO of the HRM Resources the oil and gas company.  Hutson has provided extensive financial support for numerous DCPA productions over the years including Traces, Dracula, Ring of Fire and Cirque Dreams Holidaze, among others. Additionally, Hutson has been a member of the DCPA’s premium subscriber group, Best of Broadway, for more than 15 years and a past Corporate Chair of Saturday Night Alive. 

Jessie Mueller and Jarrod Spector, stars of the Tony Award-nominated hit Broadway musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will share the stage March 7 as co-headliners of the Saturday Night Alive fundraiser. Mueller won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, and Spector was nominated for Best Actor.
