Video: Rodney Lizcano's Old Joe makeup transformation

Rodney Lizcano plays Old Joe, among other roles, in the DCPA Theatre Company’s 2015 staging of A Christmas Carol. Here, Lizcano gives us a little time-lapse peek into his  transformation using his cell phone. “I loves the make up,” Lizcano says as Old Joe. Old Joe one of the scavengers who steals away with Scrooge’s possessions in the “Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come” scene. Run time: 1 minute, 40 seconds.

Lizcano is a DCPA Teaching Artist and graduate of the DCPA’s former graduate program, the National Theatre Conservatory. Earlier this year, he starred in the Arthur Miller drama The Archbishop’s Ceiling at the Arvada Center. He also had a fun summer in Boulder playing primarily comic roles in Much Ado About Nothing, Othello and Henry V at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. At the Denver Center, Lizano has appeared in Hamlet, Just Like Us, American Night, Merchant of Venice, Spinning Into Butter, Inna Beginning, The Tempest, Gross Indecency, The Rivals, Kingdom and The Winter’s Tale.
