Video: Your first look at 'Benediction'

Video montage by David Lenk.

The DCPA Theatre Company completes its remarkable Kent Haruf trilogy with Benediction, a powerful drama made up of three interwoven family stories set on the High Plains of Eastern Colorado. Dad Lewis is unmistakably dying, and with regrets. Berta May has taken in her recently orphaned granddaughter, Alice. And the Rev. Robert Lyle has been ostracized from his congregation — and his family — for speaking his mind in a community that’s not open to his message.

Benediction, opening just two months after Haruf’s death from cancer, runs through March 1. Call 303-893-4100, or go to http://www.denvercenter.org. Directed by Kent Thompson. Adapted by Eric Schmiedl. Video by David Lenk.
