Jamie Clements
Vice President of Development
Jamie and his team are responsible for the DCPA’s fundraising efforts including gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, government sources, fundraising events, and capital campaigns. He joined the DCPA in 2021 after 7 years as Director of Development for the Alliance Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta.
For nearly 15 years, Jamie has helped non-profits develop fundraising, board governance, and earned revenue structures to further their missions. He has directly led efforts to raise more than $55M in annual funding for the arts over the past 12 years, was part of the fundraising leadership team for the Woodruff Arts Center’s successful $110M Transformation Campaign (2016) and led the final phase of the Denver Center’s $17M Grander Opening Capital Campaign in 2022.
Jamie enjoys connecting with leaders in Denver’s business and non-profit community on a regular basis and is a proud graduate of the 50th Anniversary class of Leadership Denver (2024), presented by the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, and Leadership Arts (2023), presented by the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA).
Jamie is an active member of the Performing Arts Center Consortium’s Development leaders’ network, comprised of Vice Presidents and Chief Development Officers from more than 40 of North America’s largest arts centers. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Shorter College in Georgia, and a master’s degree in Church Music from Southeastern Seminary in North Carolina. He earned the Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential from CFRE International, and a certificate in Current Affairs Fundraising from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University in 2021.
Outside of work, Jamie dabbles as a classically trained lyric tenor. He enjoyed 11 seasons as a first tenor with the award-winning Atlanta Master Chorale, where he continues to serve on the board of directors.
