A Volunteer Usher should be comfortable interacting with the public, including proactively approaching patrons, and be able to follow the direction of the Manager. An usher must participate fully in all usher activities pre-show, during the performance and during intermission. An usher should be prepared to assist the House Manager in cases of emergency.
We are seeking a person who can make a commitment to at least one spot every other week during the Theatre season.
All communication with Ushers is done via email. Familiarity with and access to a computer, with the ability to consistently access the internet, navigate web pages and forms, read and response to emails sent to your unique email address. Ushers must be willing to manage their schedule through our online tool. A direct phone number is also required in case of schedule changes or cancellations.

“Because I volunteer as a Tour Ambassador, I see the skill and pride the DCPA craftspeople bring to our productions. As a long-time subscriber, I know the quality of the onstage productions, so to keep our theatre at the top, I am happy to add a little to my ticket prices as a donor.”
