A vibrant community of donors committed to elevating the artistry of women in theatre. Through commissions, workshops, and productions of new plays by women, the Fund shines a spotlight on voices that have too often gone unheard.

Why it Matters

Established as the first initiative of its kind in the nation over 20 years ago, the Women’s Voices Fund empowers the DCPA to expand opportunities for female artists in theatre. Theatre flourishes when it reflects the full spectrum of human experience. Diverse voices reveal new truths, challenge long-held narratives, and inspire future generations to see themselves as creators, leaders, and changemakers.
