Samantha Egle

Samantha (she/her) is a fight and intimacy director based in Denver, Colorado. She is a certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors & Coordinators, a Certified Teacher and regional representative with the Society of American Fight Directors, and holds a degree in theatre from Northwestern University.  Her work has been seen on the stages of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Opera Colorado, Theatreworks, Phamaly Theatre Company, Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities, Colorado Spring Fine Arts Center, Denver Children’s Theatre, Mizel Center for Arts and Culture, Athena Project Festival, Lagoon Theme Park, Upstart Crow, New York Fringe Festival, The BiTSY Stage, University of Northern Colorado, University of Denver, and numerous other educational institutions in Colorado. She is the resident fight director for the DCPA’s Shakespeare in the Parking Lot series. She was a Resident Artist as an Intimacy Director at Arena Stage in Washington D.C. in 2019. She was an apprentice with Intimacy Directors International and has studied with Theatrical Intimacy Education. She is co-coordinator of the Paddy Crean International Workshop and the founder of Humble Warrior Movement Arts which produces stage combat and intimacy training. She serves on the board of directors of the International Order of the Sword and Pen and is a proud associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union.
