Photos: Opening night of 'Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella'

Opening night of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella featured multiple family activities at the Buell Theatre on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

It was “Kids Night on Broadway,” an ongoing featured event that allows a child to see a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a paid adult, complete with creative pre-show activities. KNOB is a nationwide audience development program sponsored by the Broadway League and host theatres such as the DCPA designed to introduce a new generation to the experience of live theatre.

After the performance, many of the actors and crew met with audience members to answer questions and sign autographs.

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is a Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of The Sound of Music that brings a contemporary take to the classic tale.
