Erin Willer

Dr. Erin Willer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Denver. Her scholarship engages narrative, art, and embodied methodologies in order to harbor sense-making, empathy, compassion, community-building, and health in the face of difficult life experiences, including grief and loss. Partnering often with community organizations, she has lead narrative, art and empathy-based workshops for those in elementary school through retirement. Dr. Willer teaches courses at DU, including Communicating Empathy and Compassion, Communicating Grief and Loss, and Running as Feminist Embodiment.
