Maya Kroth

Maya Kroth is a writer and radio reporter based in Atlanta. Born in the same California suburb as the iPhone, she started her career writing about music and surfing at The San Diego Union-Tribune before receiving a Fulbright fellowship to Spain in 2012 to study the history of the siesta (no, seriously). She has reported on topics as varied as the Honduran economy, water pollution in Guatemala, winemaking in Mexico and puppetry in Barcelona. Her work has appeared in Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, New York, the Christian Science Monitor, Sunset magazine and on NPR.
