Possible locations are currently being scouted for the piece, which will debut in May 2016 as an add-on to the Theatre Company’s 2015-16 season.
The DCPA Theatre Company landed two of the five nominations for best musical: ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown’ and ‘The 12.’
The 2015-16 lineup includes veterans Anthony Powell and Bruce K. Sevy, along with Producing Artistic Director Kent Thompson, who will helm Shakespeare and Sondheim.
DCPA head Scott Shiller says the decision “reaffirms the DCPA’s longstanding commitment to theatre that reflects our diverse community.”

For the second straight year, the DCPA Theatre Company leads all companies with 20 Henry Award nominations. The Arvada Center follows with 18.
