If you saw the original production of Wicked on Broadway, then you know the one, the only Kristin Chenoweth. If you weren’t able to see her originate the role of Glinda the Good Witch, you might be familiar with her Emmy-nominated role as April Rhodes on “Glee,” her recent Apple TV star turn as Mildred Layton in “Schmigadoon!”or through any number of other albums, television shows, films and musicals.
Now, Denver audiences and Broadway lovers alike can see Chenoweth in person for a one-night-only appearance with the Colorado Symphony. While eager fans will need to wait to see the bubbly blonde until Friday, August 12, 2022, tickets to An Evening with Kristin Chenoweth and the Colorado Symphony are available now.
Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. She has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Her albums include “The Art of Elegance,” “HAPPINESS is…Christmas!,” “For The Girls,” and “Kristin Chenoweth: Coming Home.”
Chenoweth also appeared on stage in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown for which she received a Tony Award; Roundabout Theatre Company’s On the Twentieth Century for which she received a Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award; and her limited engagement of My Love Letter to Broadway.
Her television credits are substantial including her Emmy Award-winning supporting actress role as Olive Snook in ABC’s “Pushing Daisies,” NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” as Velma Von Tussle, NBC’s hit comedy series “Trial & Error” and the Starz original series “American Gods,” among many others. Additionally, Chenoweth performed with iconic The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra, which aired on PBS and BYUtv.
Her lively personality and distinct voice can be heard as Daisy in the HBO Max film The Witches, Gabi in the hit animated film Rio 2, Princess Skystar in Lionsgate/Hasbro’s My Little Pony: The Movie, and Fifi, Snoopy’s beloved French poodle in The Peanuts Movie.
Now that impressive voice and talent will be on full display with the accompaniment of a full orchestra in An Evening with Kristin Chenoweth and the Colorado Symphony.
