If you searched for “choir of man” and ended up with “choirs for men,” don’t be disappointed. While The Choir of Man makes its second stop in Denver Jan. 16 and 17, 2026, Colorado’s “choirs of men” are here to stay. Watch for concerts year-round by these talented tenors (not to mention countertenors, baritones, and basses).
American the Beautiful ChorusA cappella Chorus
Colorado Springs
Founded in 1946 as a chapter of the Barbership Harmony Society, Colorado’s American the Beautiful Chorus specializes in a cappella music with an emphasis on barbershop style. The group’s mission is to bring people together in harmony and fellowship to enrich lives through singing, which is why rehearsals are open to anyone to drop in, check out, and join in. Rehearsals take place Tuesday evenings from 7-9:30pm at Harmony Hall in Colorado Springs (3815 N. Academy Blvd).

Boulder TimberlinersBarbershop Chorus
Broomfield
Founded in 1949, the Boulder Timberliners became the first mixed barbershop chorus in the region when they opened membership to women in 2018. Their four-part harmony brings to life songs from a variety of genres from traditional barbershop classics to contemporary hits. Rehearsals take place Wednesdays from 7-9pm at Highway Community Church in Broomfield (2400 Industrial Ln., Ste. 2600).

Colorado Chord CompanyBarbershop-style A Cappella
Denver
Whether you can sing, think you can sing, or want to find out if you can sing, Colorado Chord Company offers friendship and community service. While they put on a few shows each year, they also sing at Children’s hospitals, senior centers, veteran events, and many more. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:15-9:30pm at Waterstone Community Church in Littleton (5890 S. Alkire St.).

LGBT Chorus

Since its founding in 1982, the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus has performed more than 300 concerts, performed in such renowned venues as Red Rocks Amphitheater and Carnegie Hall, commissioned original choral works by acclaimed composers, performed with celebrated groups such as Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and collaborated with leading causes including The Matthew Shepard Foundation, Colorado AIDS Project, and One Colorado. While its 140 members perform major concerts year-round, its Off-Kilter! Ensemble performs in small venues throughout the area. Visit the website for audition information.

Longmont
Founded in 1948, this nearly 80-year-old men’s a capella choir entertains Northern Colorado and the Front Range with special engagements and two concerts each year. Rehearsals are open to the public. Those interested in joining the group are encouraged to drop by Mondays at 7pm at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Longmont (1303 S. Bross Ln.).

Out Loud: The Colorado Springs Men’s ChorusMale

Having just celebrated its 20th anniversary, Out Loud is preparing for its 2026 season with open rehearsals on January 12 and 19 at the First Congregational Church in Colorado Springs (20 E. St. Vrain St.). Open rehearsals are a great way to experience the dynamic blend of voices before auditioning for the chorus. As a member of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA), Out Loud performs throughout the year, offering a variety of musical styles.

Sound of the RockiesA Capella Group & Barbershop Chorus
Denver
One hundred members strong, the Sound of the Rockies is Colorado’s award-winning a cappella chorus. With music ranging from sacred and gospel to jazz and Broadway, this group has performed together for more than 25 years. They compete regionally, nationally, and internationally, having won 20 straight Rocky Mountain District championships and placed in the top 10 at the International Chorus Competition 16 consecutive times. While membership is by audition, interested singers are invited to attend a weekly rehearsal on Thursdays from 7-10pm at Bethany Lutheran Church (4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village).
