The Broadway League congratulates the honorees of the League Awards, which were announced today during the League’s 2022 Spring Road Conference, celebrating industry professionals whose outstanding achievements contribute to the success of Broadway on the Road. Since 1992, the League Awards recognize those who have displayed exemplary service to the Touring Broadway industry and are considered innovators of their craft. The Broadway League’s Outstanding Achievement in Road Marketing & Press Award honors an individual who has demonstrated quantitatively successful marketing or press communication results in the Touring Broadway community. 

A proud Colorado native, Jeff Hovorka is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Broadway and Cabaret Divisions. During his 28 years with the organization, Jeff has helped grow the profile and strength of Broadway in Denver by driving the local marketing and advertising campaigns for more than 400 touring Broadway engagements including the national tour launches of Dear Evan Hansen (returning to Denver May 31-June 5), If/Then starring Idina Menzel, Pippin, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Book of Mormon and Disney’s The Lion King among many others, as well as the pre-Broadway engagements of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Frozen. 

“Over the years, Jeff has created and maintained many lasting relationships locally and nationally that benefit the DCPA as well as every Broadway tour that comes through Denver. I get to witness firsthand the commitment, enthusiasm and joy that he brings to his work daily,” says John Ekeberg, Executive Director for DCPA Broadway and Cabaret. “The DCPA can’t think of a more deserving person to receive The Broadway League’s 2022 Touring Broadway Award for Outstanding Achievement in Road Marketing & Press.”
