Attendees are immersed in space during DCPA Off-Center’s experience Space Explorers: THE INFINITE
If you’re vacationing in Denver or simply looking for something out of the ordinary, you might consider an immersive experience. But what is an “immersive experience”? Simply put, it’s being surrounded by and part of an experience.
An escape room is a type of immersive experience and Denver has plenty of those. VR, or virtual reality, is another example. As is Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station, an immersive “visual” experience that marries art and storytelling to take audiences on a “journey of discovery into a surreal, science-fictional epic.”
And DCPA Off-Center has certainly offered immersive “theatrical” experiences that often envelop audiences in a story or narrative, such as this summer’s DARKFIELD: SÉANCE, FLIGHT + COMA followed by this fall’s MONOPOLY LIFE-SIZED: Travel Edition.
