Multi-Sensory Immersive Experience DARKFIELD Extended by Popular Demand

The US premiere will launch in Denver July 11 – September 1

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Off-Center and Realscape Productions, in partnership with UK-based creators of innovative immersive experiences, DARKFIELD, are proud to announce that, due to popular demand, the US tour launch of the multi-sensory series DARKFIELD, featuring SÉANCE, FLIGHT and COMA, will extend through September 1 in the city’s River North (RiNo) Art District neighborhood.

Critics and audiences in Australia and the UK raved about DARKFIELD, with Exeunt Magazine at Edinburgh Festival calling it “perfectly programmed high art,” Arts Hub declared it is “a highly sophisticated aural sensory experience” and Time Out Sydney saying, “it is an immensely vivid experience.” Audiences cannot stop talking about the experience saying they’ve “never had an experience quite like that [DARKFIELD]” and “brilliant!”

Following sold-out tours in Australia and the UK, and showcasing internationally in Mexico, Taiwan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia, Denver audiences will have the opportunity to step into transformed shipping containers in complete darkness to experience a multi-sensory audio thrill-seeking adventure that explores the depths of human psychology and perception.

“We are thrilled that audiences in Denver are as enthusiastic about DARKFIELD as we are, and now even more people will have the chance to experience it through Labor Day weekend,” said Charlie Miller, Executive Director and Curator of Off-Center. “We are honored that our partners Realscape Productions and DARKFIELD will launch the US tour of this trio of mind-bending experiences in Denver.”

The darkness surrounds you. You are completely alone, together, as a strange new world unfolds around you. Welcome to DARKFIELD.

Making its US premiere in Denver this summer after sold-out runs reaching over 500,000 audience members in the UK, Australia, Asia, and Mexico — DCPA Off-Center and Realscape Productions present DARKFIELD, a spine-tingling collection of immersive audio experiences that unfold inside custom-built shipping containers – and in complete darkness. DARKFIELD utilizes its signature 360-degree audio along with sensory effects and hyper-realistic sets to place you in the middle of intense narratives that will leave you questioning reality.

Step inside three uniquely captivating worlds — SÉANCE, FLIGHT, or COMA — and find out who you really are when the darkness sets in.

ABOUT SÉANCE

SÉANCE is the first DARKFIELD shipping container experience, transforming the interior into a Victorian séance room. It asks audiences to believe not only what is happening inside the container, but also in what might be conjured up into the room with them.

“It’s skin-tingling, breath-quickening stuff.”
– The Stage

ABOUT FLIGHT

FLIGHT’s container interior exactly resembles an airline economy cabin and explores the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics, taking audience members through two journeys, two worlds, two realities. There are many worlds in which this plane lands safely.

“Perfectly programmed high-art…a reminder of one’s closeness at all times to death that spits you out into the sunlight feeling palpably, certainly, alive.”
Exeunt Magazine

ABOUT COMA

COMA invites audiences to take part in a mass experiment, to lie down together inside the container and slip into a collective dream. Imagine the moment of waking up is actually the moment when your dream begins.

“A highly sophisticated aural sensory experience.”
