When Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert hits the Buell Theatre, audience members will see scenes from the beloved television series projected onscreen while a live orchestra presents the soundtrack for an immersive experience.

The Colorado Symphony often hosts projection concerts throughout the season. Upcoming shows include Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and How to Train Your Dragon.

On September 27, Hans Zimmer Live will be coming to Ball Arena. The newly arranged concert includes music from Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, The Lion King, The Last Samurai and Dune, for which Zimmer received his second Academy Award®.

Wheat Ridge Center for Music & Arts is hosting Traveling Through Time and Space, a Denver Pops Orchestra presentation on October 5. The orchestra will perform songs from Star Trek, Star Wars, Back to the Future, and more.

Candlelight Concerts are an international sensation, performing in cities around the world. Guests are surrounded by candlelight as an ensemble performs live, in the middle of the space. This spooky season, check out Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. Range Ensemble String Quartet will perform a medley of songs, including tracks from iconic Halloween films like The Addams Family and Ghostbusters.

The Lone Tree Arts Center hosts several concerts and orchestras throughout the year. This winter, check out the Soundtracks of the Season performed by the Symphony of the Rockies. This concert is filled with favorite melodies from classic Christmas movies like Home Alone and The Polar Express.
