On July 1, 2025, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) announced that Ruth Krebs succeeds Hassan Salem as Chair of the Board of Trustees following his three years in this role. The Denver Center thanks Hassan for his steadfast and visionary leadership during which time the organization launched its first-ever five-year strategic plan to support the organization’s ongoing success and safeguard its long-term financial sustainability. Additionally, Hassan was an enthusiastic advocate for modernizing the organization’s use of technology, which included the launch of a new, robust Customer Relationship Management platform to enhance patron experience.
Ruth Krebs has served on the DCPA Board of Trustees for the past five years and held the leadership position of Vice Chair and Strategic Planning Committee Chair. Ruth’s professional experience includes 30 years working in data networking and telecom for international Fortune 100 companies. She is a life-long advocate for women and girls around the world, directing her energy and financial support to numerous non-profit organizations focused on education, microfinance, and entrepreneurship.
The DCPA also bids a fond farewell to Brisa Carlton, Robert Slosky, Tina Walls and Dr. Reginald Washington who retired from the board on June 30, 2025. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brisa, Bob, Tina and Reggie, who, combined, represent nearly 90 years of service to this organization. We thank them for their vision, loyalty, and leadership, which has made the DCPA a world-class destination that engages and inspires generations of patrons, students, donors and guests across our six programming lines,” said Janice Sinden, President & CEO.
Additionally, the Denver Center is excited to welcome four new Trustees who have been actively involved with the organization: Marco Chayet of Chayet & Danzo, LLC; Yosh Eisbart of VASS; Christopher Hayes of Chevron, and Robert Kenney of Xcel Energy Colorado. “We are honored to welcome these esteemed community leaders to the Board of Trustees and look forward to benefiting from their professional expertise and personal passion for theatre,” said Sinden.
MARCO CHAYET is the founding partner of Chayet & Danzo, LLC, the Public Administrator for Colorado’s 18th Judicial District and the Manager of Wolf Energy Company. Marco is the past chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the current Elder Law Section delegate to the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors. Mr. Chayet is a 2025 Colorado Super Lawyer in Elder Law, a 2025 Top 100 Super Lawyer in Colorado, Law Week Colorado’s 2017 and 2020 Barristers Best Trusts & Estates lawyer, and is a dual award winner by 5280 Magazine as both a top elder law attorney and probate litigator for 2025. In 2021, Governor Polis appointed Marco as the 6th Congressional District Commissioner for the Supreme Court Nominating Commission. In 2017, Governor John Hickenlooper appointed Marco as a Commissioner for the Colorado Office of Public Guardian. Marco is an adjunct professor of elder law at the University of Colorado School of Law, a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Marco, born and raised in Denver, received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law and his undergraduate training was at the University of California at Berkeley and at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Marco also serves on the boards of the Helen G. Bonfils Foundation, The Next 50 Initiative, Von’s Vision, and the Law Alumni Board for the University of Colorado School of Law.
YOSH EISBART is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and executive with a 25+ year career in enterprise software and innovation. He has founded multiple startups, including NIMBL, a nationally recognized SAP consultancy acquired by a public company, and Fulfilld, an AI-powered warehouse management platform backed by venture capital. He currently serves as the North American Vice President at VASS, a global technology and SAP consulting firm serving both Fortune 1000 and Midmarket across North America.
Eisbart is also deeply committed to nonprofit service and impact. He serves on the Board of the Range of Motion Project (ROMP), an international nonprofit providing high-quality prosthetic care to underserved communities in Latin America. His leadership extends to the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), where he currently is the global YPO Entrepreneurship Network Chair. Yosh and his family come from a long line of arts supporters. His father served as Board Chair of the Fort Wayne, Indiana Performing Arts Center and today the Eisbart’s are active patrons of the Denver arts community. Their oldest daughter is a student at the Denver School of the Arts, and the family’s love of Broadway runs deep.
CHRISTOPHER HAYES has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer specializing in energy law issues. He currently serves as Lead Senior Counsel for Chevron’s Shale & Tight Business in Colorado. He advises Chevron in connection with a variety of operational and regulatory matters in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. He is also the Co-Chairman of Chevron’s Diversity & Inclusion Council in Colorado. Prior to his arrival in Denver, Hayes held positions for Chevron in Houston, Myanmar, and Thailand. He is currently a member of the Colorado Ballet Leadership Council and previously served on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar and as President of the Brown Club of Houston. Hayes received his B.A. in International Relations magna cum laude from Brown University, his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his D.E.S.S. from L’Université Paris 1 – Panthéon-Sorbonne.
ROBERT S. KENNEY is president of Xcel Energy’s Colorado Operating Company, the largest of Xcel Energy’s divisions, serving 1.6 million electricity and 1.5 million natural gas customers. He oversees strategic operations, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement, guiding a team of 4,000 employees in delivering safe, reliable, and clean energy. Under his leadership, Xcel Energy continues to advance its industry-leading goal of providing carbon-free electricity by 2050. With over 30 years of experience in regulatory, legal, and public affairs, Robert has held leadership roles at Pacific Gas & Electric and served as Chairman of the Missouri Public Service Commission. He is a nationally recognized authority in utility law and public policy, having served on the boards of NARUC and the Organization of MISO States. He also served as Chief of Staff to the Missouri Attorney General and practiced law at Polsinelli. Robert currently serves on the boards of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Cleo Parker Robinson Dance. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and a law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
