The DCPA is just one of the many arts organizations announcing its 2024/25 season, or productions throughout 2024. By no means an exhaustive list, check out the organizations below. The Arvada Center has announced five shows for its 2024/25 season, including Waitress, Kate Hamill’s feminist Dracula, Once Upon a Mattress, Clybourne Park, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.
A mainstay for orchestral music in Colorado, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra will be presenting its masterworks series in 2024/25. Listen to Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Stravinsky, Beethoven, and more.
The Summer Festival has been announced for Central City Opera. The Pirates of Penzance, The Girl of the Golden West, and Street Scene light up the Opera House stage June 29 through August 4.
Cherry Creek Theatre will be producing two plays in 2024: the world premiere of The Heartbeat of the Sun and The Mountaintop.
City Park Jazz’s summer concert series boasts big band, blues, soul, Latin, and more on stage in 2024. These concerts are open to the public and will host food trucks, so you can spend a full afternoon enjoying community (rain or shine).
In addition to the annual December favorite, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, CPRD will present Black Orpheus this fall and Legacy next spring. Keep in mind, season tickets will also provide early access to CPRD events outside their season.
A mixture of classics and new works, Colorado Ballet is presenting an exciting season: Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Casanova, Alice (in Wonderland), and Masterworks.
Colorado Shakespeare Festival has announced shows through August 2024, including Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Arden of Faversham.
The Colorado Symphony’s incredible programming features renowned guest artists (including Leslie Odom, Jr. and LeAnn Rimes), revered symphonic works, stage and screen scores (including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and The Nightmare Before Christmas) and more.
Concerts are scheduled to take place through July 2024 at different venues across the Denver metro area, including the Aurora Fox and the Arvada Center. Listen to swing, jazz, nostalgic hits, and more.
Dates are still TBD as of April 17, but shows have been announced for Curious Theatre’s 27th season. POTUS Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, Downstate, Confederates, A Case for the Existence of God, and one TBA show.
Productions are announced throughout 2024 at Miners Alley. Still upcoming, see The Full Monty, School of Rock – The Musical, Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Elusive Ear, and a TBA holiday production.
Opera Colorado’s 2024/25 season features stories of love and loss, a worldwide fan favorite, and some of the most well-known music in opera: Donizetti’s Daughter of the Regiment, Puccini’s La bohème, and Verdi’s Il trovatore.
Phamaly Theatre Company has shows announced through October 2024. Coming soon is A Chorus Line, followed by The Glorious World of Crowns, Kinks and Curls, and Funny as a Crutch.
